Your playlists

The playlist details you add — a playlist link, or a server address, username and password from your IPTV provider — are stored securely on your device in the iOS or macOS Keychain. The app uses them to connect directly to your provider’s servers to load channels, movies, series and program guides, and to play them. That connection is between your device and your provider; your provider’s own privacy policy applies to it.

Playlist details sent to help fix connection problems

Each time you add a playlist, the app sends what you entered (the playlist link, or the server address, username and password), whether connecting worked, the reason it failed if it didn’t, and basic technical information (app version, iOS or macOS version, device model and app language) to Google Cloud Firestore. I use this only to find and fix problems people have connecting their playlists. It is not linked to your identity, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone else. The app can only add these records; it cannot read them back. They are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted. You are told about this in the app before you connect, and under the add-playlist form.

What stays on your device

Your favorites, watch history and resume positions, the language you choose, your Home settings and other preferences are saved on your device. They are not sent to me.

Contacting support

If adding a playlist fails, you can choose “Send to support”. This opens an email in your own mail app with the details shown on screen, which you can read and edit before sending. Your password is only included if you turn that on. Nothing is sent unless you press Send.

Usage statistics

To fix problems and improve the app, it sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase — for example which screens you open, the steps of first-time setup, whether adding a playlist worked and why it failed (never the link, username or password), and whether a purchase screen was shown. They are tied to a random identifier Firebase creates for this installation, not to you, and Google may derive an approximate country or region from your connection. Analytics does not use the advertising identifier. The app also uses Firebase Remote Config to receive settings such as which features are enabled. Firebase’s privacy information applies.

No tracking or ads

The app shows no ads, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not use the advertising identifier.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store; I never see your payment details. My purchase service, RevenueCat, keeps an anonymous record of your purchase history (tied to a random app user identifier) so purchases can be validated and restored on your other devices. RevenueCat’s privacy policy applies.

Promo codes

If you redeem a promo code, the app checks it against a code list stored in Google Cloud Firestore and records the redemption against your anonymous purchase identifier, so each code can only be used once. No personal information is attached to it.

Artwork and trailers

Posters and channel logos are downloaded from the addresses in your playlist or your provider’s catalog and cached on your device. If you watch a trailer, it plays from YouTube, and Google’s privacy policy applies to that video.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, reminders (for example about an offer) are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to me.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

Delete a playlist in the app, or delete the app, to remove everything it stored on your device. Playlist details sent to help fix connection problems are deleted automatically within 30 days. To have them, the anonymous statistics or purchase records deleted sooner, email me with the approximate date you added the playlist or last used the app, and I’ll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
